  • They have NO shame

    Posted by Jerry Bader

Okay, even I can't believe this. First, the global warming hacks denied global temperatures receded in this decade. Then, they claimed it was a "pause" in global warming, even though they never predicted a pause. Now, in trying to deal with the pressures of climate gate, they do a 180 and say temperatures, in fact, rose this decade. For the love of Pete, tell me this charade won't work!!!!!!

  • John Kerry can't let go of Tora Bora

    Posted by Jerry Bader

Is he really saying we'd be out of Afghanistan now had we gotten OBL at Tora Bora? I'm not neccessarily defending anybody where Tora Bora is concerned, but this is a pathetic attempt to insulate President Obama from the consequences of his Afghanistan decisions. You can hear it now; "you can't blame President Obama, we would have been out years ago if not for Tora Bora." Pathetic. Simply pathetic.

The National Weather Service has just upgraded the winter weather advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for NE WI, with a new snow range of 8 to 14 inches. It seems recently these storms have tended to fizzle (wishful thinking???) So, here's YOUR chance to predict the total for the Tuesday/Wednesday storm, as announced as a final snowfall total by Fox 11, for Green Bay. The winner will receive a certificate for lunch or dinner for two at the Standing stone Gourmet Buffet in the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, and whatever else I can dig out of the prize bin. Enter by commenting on this blog entry. Please make your prediction to the nearest tenth of an inch (example: 8.5 inches). If more than one person gets it right, we'll draw a winner from all correct answers. Again, this is the STORM total, as announced by Fox 11. Good Luck!

A truly amazing story, in the worst sense of the word. Who do you consider largely responsible for Watanabe's loss; Harrah's or Watanabe himself? We'll take it up on the show tomorrow.

  • Interesting developments in the deer herd story

Hum, they stick to their guns and say a 16 day hunt is needed to control the deer herd, as hunters insist the herd is nearly depleted and such aggressive management techniques aren't needed. A top lawmaker calls for the herd management team to be replaced, and suddenly, they have to slow down and think about this. It's good news for hunters. It's also telling. They'd rather not have anybody poking around the flawed methodology of their management techniques. This really is Wisconsin's min-version of climate gate.

  • Better than expected jobless numbers

To quote Churchill, this isn't the beginning of the end, but it might be the end of the beginning. It appears the economy has bottomed out. But I still am very worried about what 2010-11 will bring as the impact of all the "stimulus" spending, I fear, will create runaway inflation.
