  • Financial Questions

    Posted by Seth Mela

As many of you know, my background is that of a financial advisor.

I don't get a chance to discuss individual and personal financial issues on the show very often so I thought I'd open this blog up to you to ask what ever questions may be on your mind.

If there is something that you'd like to discuss, post your question here and I will do my best to answer.  Issues such as your credit report and collection issues, budgeting, saving and investment strategies and even insurance.  Ask away and let's see what happens!

  • Budget Cuts... for Whom?

    Posted by Seth Mela

Big Sis of the Dept. of Homeland says we may experience delays at airports like LA and Chicago because of the mandatory budget cuts.  Delays?  At those airports?  Really?  I'm shocked.  That's like predicting the sun will come up and water is wet.

Yet, at the same time more fear mongering is coming from the left... we are doing this:

Kerry Announces $250 Million in U.S. Aid for Egypt

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Secretary of State John Kerry announced Sunday that the United States would provide $250 million in assistance to Egypt after Egypt’s president promised to move ahead with negotiations with the International Monetary Fund over economic reforms.

In a statement issued after his two-hour meeting with President Mohamed Morsi, Mr. Kerry said the aid decision reflected Egypt’s “extreme needs” and Mr. Morsi’s assurance that Egypt would reach an agreement with the I.M.F. after more than a year of talks over a $4.8 billion loan package.

The statement issued by Mr. Kerry noted that he and Mr. Morsi had discussed the need to ensure the fairness of Egypt’s coming elections, but it did not mention any specific political commitments the Egyptian president had made to receive the aid.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for April. Some opposition groups have said they will boycott the vote because of what they see as an effort by Mr. Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood movement to dominate Egyptian politics.

American officials say that Mr. Kerry asserted that moving ahead with difficult economic changes in Egypt would require a degree of political consensus and was implicitly a promise of some political change.

The aid announced Sunday consists of two parts. One is a $190 million infusion for Egypt’s budget intended to address what Mr. Kerry said was the country’s “extreme needs.” That assistance has already been approved by Congress.

  • 2-25-13 Gallon Smashing Prank

    Posted by Seth Mela

If you're at a grocery store and see a teenager with two gallons of milk . . . get suspicious.  The newest dumb stunt on YouTube is called "gallon smashing" . . . where you pretend to dramatically slip and fall WHILE carrying two gallons of milk.

--A couple of idiots did it in a bunch of grocery stores and posted a montage on YouTube, which now has over two million hits.

The question is, what would you do if you saw this in the store... and especially what would you do if you found out your precious little snowflake of a kid was doing this?

  • Voter Fraud NEVER Happens...

    Posted by Seth Mela

The Left likes to use the argument that if ONE life can be saved by imposing stricter gun laws then it's worth it.  Of course they ignore the Constitution, the whole falacy of "the ends justify the means", and of course common sense.  They also don't like it when their logic is turned around on them.

If just ONE case of voter fraud can be prevented with a Voter ID program...

Ohio Officials: Poll Worker May Have Voted Six Times

By Eliana Johnson, National Review OnLine

Melowese Richardson is the Ohio poll worker who admitted to casting two votes in November for President Obama. Now, Ohio officials are investigating if she voted in the names of four other people as well and cast a total of six ballots in the 2012 election, according to Fox News. The investigation is part of a wider one into a number of cases of alleged voter fraud in Hamilton County, Ohio. Richardson says she filled out and submitted an absentee ballot on her granddaughter’s behalf, and her granddaughter has confirmed that claim, saying, “It wasn’t a big deal.” Furthermore:

Three other absentee ballots in the names of different people were submitted to the Board of Elections from Richardson’s address on Nov. 1. Officials say the handwriting on those ballots is similar and that they were all received together, on the same day that Richardson’s absentee ballot arrived at the office. Richardson maintains that some of the other voters live at her house.

Attempts by Fox News to reach Richardson were unsuccessful, but she claimed to the local station that the votes were “absolutely legal votes.”

Richardson is currently facing charges of voter fraud but maintains her innocence. “I can’t understand these charges against me of voter fraud,” she told Cincinnati’s Channel 9 News. “Have they never heard of . . . overlooking mailing in a ballot or registering to vote at a precinct after you’ve forgotten that you’ve mailed in a ballot or you’ve been told that the ballot may be too late?”

  • Ted Nugent National Anthem

Ok, before you get all bent out of shape about the Ted Nugent version of the National Anthem I played this morning... Watch his interview with Glenn Beck and then ask yourself, is this guy a die hard American?  Is there ANYTHING disrespectful about the way he loves the US?  Then ask yourself; why am I upset at his version of the National Anthem?
