This is not to suggest that this signing means Palin is out of politics, but I was among those who felt she was more interested in the spotlight than the campaign trail. This is not meant in any way as a back-handed compliment; the woman is a natural performer. She was very good on Saturday Night Live and her bit on Conan with Shatner was hysterical.

I think she certainly could have an electoral future as well, but I just get the sense she loves the camera more than politics. Time will tell.
