Well, this is an interesting defense. Without knowing exactly what he said, it's difficult to know whether the voicemail he left constitutes a threat. The younger Froelich has been in a string of trouble over the years; this is just the latest episode. There certainly are limits to free speech; try making a hijacking joke on an airplane, or say something threatening against the President and see what happens.
