Yeah, I know, this title on this post makes a rather large claim. But if you read this story from the L.A. Times about the 13-1 L.A. City Council vote today to Boycott Arizona, you might agree. Specifically, I point you to this gem by councilman Ed Reyes:

“As an American, I cannot go to Arizona today without a passport. If I come across an officer who’s having a bad day and feels that the picture on my ID is not me, I can be … deported, no questions asked. That is not American.’’

Where does one begin??? He can't go to Arizona without a passport? Of course he can. "I can be deported, no questions asked?" My guess is he's more of a liar than he is stupid and realizes this stuff is false. Then again, maybe not? And out of 14 people, there was one sane council member? As liberal fantasylands like L.A. rail against this law, they might want to take note of a little something.
