A hearty congratulations and thanks to the WTAQ staff as the station had a big night at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association's Awards For Excellence dinner in Madison Saturday. WTAQ won the following awards in the Medium Market Category:

Station of The Year, for the third straight year(this is the third year of this award, no other station has every won it). WTAQ took first place in the following categories:

Best News Operation

Best Newscast

Best Newswriting

Best coverage of the economic downturn

Best Sports play by play

WTAQ also took four 2nd place awards and three 3rd place awards. WTAQ dominated the night in the medium market category and again my greatest admiration and thanks to the entire staff for their work!
