Remember the heat Mitt Romney took from Republicans for arguing that President Obama owed his Nov. 6 victory, at least in part, to promising things to certain constituencies? Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal and others moved quickly to dismiss the notion. Much too quickly in my opinion, which I believe is validated by this story.
Councilwoman Watson seems to be unaware that the discovery of a "quid pro quo" in politics is often preceded by a criminal investigation and followed by indictments. This is EXACTLY what Mitt Romney was talking about; minorities voting for Obama with the expectation of something in return. So explain to me again why he should have been taken to the woodshed for that comment?
