Or perhaps we could call this, "taking back our playgrounds." I find a couple of things in this piece particularly interesting. One: the dangers of not teaching kids some acceptable level of risk taking. If virtually all risk is taken from your life at a young age how do you ever learn the difference between risk and calculated risk? The answer is you don't.
The other point that struck me was that playground injuries have decreased all that much with this stupid movement. Could it be that kids find new and potentially more dangerous risks to take?
