Jack Welch Still Says The Numbers are Cooked

Posted by Jerry Bader on

I shared this piece on the show today. One of thie things that gives this piece credibility is Welch's tempered estimation of the economy; he concedes it's not in a freefall and I agree. But he's also right that there is no tangible evidence of a robust recovery underway, certainly not the type of growth that would fuel the reduction in jobless numbers we've seen in the past three months.

Welch is right when he says business people don't feel a recovery is underway. I talk to a lot of them. Nobody who signs the front of a check feels the economy is thriving.
