Well, I forgot this show even existed, so I suppose any publicity is good publicity, as they say (except your own obituary, the end of that line that everyone seems to forget.) But here's the irony; based on this piece it appears Tim Allen is unhappy because he considers the line a joke that stereotypes conservatives as finding communists under every bad:

“I love communist jokes,” Allen told the Post. “The right sees everything as a communist.”

“We also had this line about the Clintons where I say, ‘They’re like shingles; just when you think they are gone, they pop back up,’” he added.

That line was deleted, too.

If the "communist" joke was actually at the expense of conservatives, which Allen seems to imply here, is it possible that the Clinton joke was the real issue for ABC? After all, how do they nuke the Clinton joke and keep the Obama joke(again, if it's reallly a shot at conservatives)? Just wondering aloud here...
