The Ryan Braun story has been a tricky one for his fans from the start. First, his positive test should never have seen the light of day until the matter was resolved internally. But even then his handling of it was awkward at best and he left a lot of quesitons unanswered. Then his name was linked to a clnic that has been linked to performance enhancing drugs. And his explanation that he used them as a consultant to fight the allegations against him was always strange at best; you hire as a consultant a known dirty lab? Really?

Now this. Braun sticking to the "consultant" explanation with his name on this list is insulting to the intelligence. I upbraided those who believed that Brett Favre didn't send infamous voice mails and those who believed Lance Armstrong until he finally confessed. So I'm not going to be like those people. It's possible Ryan Braun is telling the truth, but it's highly doubtful. And I no longer believe that he is.
