I first heard of this last night when Mark Levin was ripping S.E. Cupp a new one for this(and claiming that he didn't knew who she was). I remember the first time I disagreed with Rush on the air. Some listeners couldn't believe I would challenge him. I think there are times he has hurt the conservative cause. Pretending all was well in 2006 and 2008 when most everyone else knew Republicans were going to get killed in those elections wasn't helpful(Sean Hannity did the same, by the way)
I also thought is notion that the polls were closing late in the 2012 presidential race because Romney was going to win and the pollsters were trying to save face was downright idiotic. I was right about that and Rush was wrong.
Cupp is right; The Fluke incident was an unforced error and I said so from the start. Rush is right far more often than he's wrong. Civil disagreements under the Conservative roof shouldn't be forbidden. Although Cupp's issues with Rush seem to be more about style than substance.
By the way, I was wrong in one of my criticisms of Rush; I said he was over the top in saying the effort to end the NFL as we know it was underway. He was right about that. To quote the late Ed Koch:
“If you agree with me on nine out of 12 issues, vote for me. If you agree with me on 12 out of 12 issues, see a psychiatrist.”
