Okay, if a gun is discharged in public police should be called. But the tone of this piece is hysterical. You would think a body was found under the table with a bullet in it and not reported for a day. And given that police didn't find a slug anywhere we don't really know that this happened at all!

Perhaps that's why this wasn't reported immediately...
