The tailgating starts early on Mondays and Green Bay should be no different. I expect to see some drunken yahoos with their shirts off and the national cameras will once again make us look like a bunch of buffoons. The Badgers are heading to Orlando and a matchup with Miami at the Champs Sports Bowl on December 29th. That should be an interesting game aginst a quality opponent. Ohio State plasy in the Rose Bowl against oregon and Iowa  will take on Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl. Alabama and Texas will play for the National Title.

A good weekend for the Wausau West Hockey and Basketball teams. The hoopsters beat Wausau East in boys & girls basketball while the hockey team went south and beat University School and Catholic Memorial.

My East sports broadcasts this week include the girls basketball team taking on Northland Pines Tuesday night as the 2nd half of our doubleheader....Thursday the hockey team play at Rapids live at 7. and hosts Appleton Xavier..and Friday the Boys basketball team plays Rhinelander. All of our high school broadcasts are on our sister station Foxsports 1390 WRIG.

Deportee-Woody Guthrie...a folk classic written about a plane crash in Los Gatos Canyon California in 1948. 32 people died but only the white pilot and co-pliot were named in the newspaper accounts...the rest were migrant workers being deported and described as Deportees. Many people have done the song...I've included a version by the Byrds for your consideration.
