A well rested Milwaukee Bucks team will welcome Kobe Bryant and the Lakers to the Bradley Center tonight. The lakers are playing on back to back nights after beating the Bulls in Chicago. The Bucks are coming off a Saturday night win over Portland which returned them to the .500 mark. They need to shoot better if they hope to beat the defending champs and western division leaders.
The Badger men's basketball team is back at it as well hosting Cal-Poly at the Kohl Center.
Congrats to the Spash boys basketball team. After going winless in the Valley all last season they opened this year with a win over a good DC Everest team scoring 22 points in the 4th quarter.
The Northwoods League has expanded, adding a team in Wisconsin Rapids. The as-yet named team will play at Witter Field. Earlier the summer college league had added a team in Willmar, Minnesota.

Different Drum-Stone Poneys (1967) Linda Ronstadt fronts the band and has a hit with a song written by Mike Nesmith of the Monkees. The other Poneys were Bob Kimmel and Kenny Edwards. Edwards toured and recorded with Ronstadt through the 70's.
