A good day for the Americans at the Olympics. Lindsay Vonn and Julia Mancuso took gold & silver in the women's downhill. Shani Davis and Chad Hedrick took gold & bronze in the men's 1000 meter speedskating race, and Shaun White had a dominating performance winning his second consecutive gold in the men's halfpipe. The US men's hockey team playa again today against Norway. The US now leads the medal count.

Tiger Woods said yesterday he would speak this Friday on his transgressions and his future plans. But, he won't take questions from a small press pool. He's just putting off the ultimate ffeding frenzy. Reporters are not going to be satisfied with press release statements written by PR flacks. Eventually he will have to face the probably hostile questions...something he's not used to...and how he handles it will go along way to determining how he is welcomed back to the Tour.

Wausau West begins it's quest to follow up a stellar regular season with a trip to Madison for the hockey State Tournament. They take on a feisty Pacelli/Assumption team that has only been playing for a few years. West has learned in the past few years that the regular season means nothing once the teams lace emup for the tournament and you know every team would like nothing better than to knock off the big dog.
