The Wausau American Legion baseball team will get no points for style last night. We beat De Pere 18-17 at the State AAA Legion Tournament but almost blew two 8 run leads. The bottom of the ninth was especially brutal as De Pere mounted their furious comeback scoring 7 times and they had the tying run at 3rd base when the game ended.

Mitch Howe had 6 hits for Wausau...I believe that has to be a record. Mike Parman and Seth McMullen hit homers. With the win...the Bulldogs are automatically in the Championship game Sunday regardless of the outcome of todays game with Eau Claire. We play at 4:30. And because Wisconsin is sending two teams on to national play...we will be playing somewhere next week. Either Mattoon Illinois or Spokane, Washington.
