How Many Zeroes Will The Check Have?

Who would be surprised if Brett Favre pays off Jenn Sterger to not cooperate with any investigation by the NFL into the sexual harrassment charges against him. Favre doesnt want to end his career in total disgrace(although it may be a bit late for that) and he certainly doesnt want his conscutive game streak to end with a suspension. Chris Mortenson reported last night that Sterger's reps say she will do what is in her best interest going forward. I guess the question will be, how vindictive does she want to be and what will be her price for silence? I don't begrudge her making out on this deal but it would sure be sad if Favre can continue his tom-catting ways and once again not be punished for his actions.

The Packers will try and cobble together a lineup for Sunday's game with Miami. Aaron Rodgers is questionable. He needs to pass a battery of tests to play after suffering a concussion. Jermichael Finley breakout season has been de-railed by knee surgery today.

The Bucks are expected to have a break-out season of their own this year...but they go into this week incredibly banged up. Scott Skiles is getting concerned that he won't know who can do what by the time the regular season starts in 15 days. They only had ten players available for practice yesterday.

The high school Boys soccer tournament begins today with first round matchups including Wausau East at Wausau West and Menominee at DC Everest. Wausau Newman is a one seed hosting Peshtigo.

Happy Birthday to "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes..he is 65.

Songs of The Days (from my I-pod)

Good Lovin-Young Rascals (1966) a re-make of an older tune but Felix Caviliere and The Rascals nailed it.

Good Luck Charm-Elvis Presley (1962) a #1 for the King during his movie years.
