When the San Francisco Giants traded their starting catcher Benji Molina to Texas back in July to make room for heralded rookie Buster Posey, little did they know that they would be facing Molina and the Rangers in the World Series. Game 1 is tonight in California and it should be interesting to watch how effective the Giant pitching staff is after Molina briefs the Ranger hitters on their tendencies. The giant staff has been lights out for much of the year but we really havent had a situation like this before where a catcher changes teams and can feed relevant timely info to his new teammates. Tim Lincecum doesnt seem to think there will be a problem. We'll see.
The Bucks open the regular season tonight at New Orleans with high expectations. Despite some injuries during training camp they seem ready to take the next step. Gm John Hammond did an excellent job in the off-season bringing in some players that complement Bogut, Jennings and Salmons. The Bucks were one of the worst teams in the league at getting to the free throw line and that should change because Corey Maggette is one of the best at doing that. Drew Gooden is also a fine addition who is willing to rebound, play defense and not worry about getting shots. If..and it's a big if...Bogut can stay healthy, the Bucks should be a beast in the East.
I watched some of the Heat-Celtics game last night. The chemistry of Lebron,Dwayne and Chris isnt their yet. They combined for double figure turnovers and the Heat lost to the Celtics who looked good. Rajon Rondo may be the best point guard in the league right now and Shaq looked like he had some pep in his step.

Songs Of The Day (from my I-pod)
Got The Bull By The Horns-Johnny Horton (1958) a rock-a-billy legend better known for his saga songs like Battle of New Orleans and Sink The Bismarck...Horton and His combo could kick-it on stage as well. This tune was later re-done by kd lang!
Got The Time-Joe Jackson (1979) from his debut Lp "Look Sharp", one of the great new wave albums. No one has re-invented himself muiscally more than Jackson but his early stuff has great energy and his band was super tight.
