We should see more movement of the big name free agents this week after the sgning of Zach Grienke by the Dodgers yesterday. Grienke signed a 6 year 145 million dollar contract which is the largets for a right-handed pitcher ever. He had coveted by several teams who are also looking at other free agents like outfielder Josh Hamilton. Now with Grienke out of the equation itn shouldnt take long for the others to find landing spots.
We have kept hearing occasional murmers that the Brewers would have some interest in Hamilton but I would think it's a long-shot. If I had to guess it would be Seattle or back to Texas for the slugger. I think the Brewers starting lineup is fine...and the competition for the starting spots in the rotation shoule be spirited. The challenge is filling the bullpen with much better arms than they had last year.
Jay Cutler will start for the Bears on Sunday against the Packers. Cutler suffered neck spasms after being hit in the game with the Vikings. He said yesterday it has nothing to do with the concussion he suffered earlier this season.
