Taking Care Of Business

The Green Bay Packers clinch the NFC North with a workmanlike win over the Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field. Aaron Rodgers says the first goal of any season is to make the playoffs. He threw three touchdown passes to James Jones (which pains me a bit since I didnt start Jones on my fantasy team). With two very winnable games remaining the Pack should get a great seed in this years playoffs.

The Bucks had their winning streak ended on Saturday night as the Clippers rolled 111-85. Milwaukee shot very poorly in the game and they will try and bounce back Tuesday night as they host Indiana.

The Badgers lose another assistant. Matt Canada goes to North Carolina State. I would imagine that the new head coach will want to bring in his own people as assistants so I'm not getting too worked up about this. These guys have to take care of their families and take a sure job when it's available.

Can somebody explain to me why anyone would need a 30 round magazine for a hunting rifle? Can 2nd amendment advocates at least agree that some restraint might be in order in the kinds of guns that are needed for hunting and self-protection? If these two sentences get you incensed...don't bother reading further or responding.

Congrats to the Wausau West Warriors as they take home the Marathon Cup for the 6th straight year. West beat Mosinee and DC Everest to win the Cup. They play Wausau East on Tuesday at Marathon Park and we'll have the game live on Foxsports1390 & 93.9 FM. That will be followed by the DC Everest-Mosinee game.
