Green Bay Packer fans are loyal...but they can also turn on you in a New York minute. Mike Holmgrem and Brett Favre found that out. And all it takes is one loss or a bad performance for some fans to chuck a player over the side. Mason Crosby is that player right now. The on-line vitriol is once again over the top as Packer fans are incensed that Mike McCarthy may put a Super Bowl season at risk by sticking with the struggling Crosby. Let's face it...Crosby doesnt have a clue right now. He's missed field goals in his last eight games and you can tell that the Packers will go for it on fourth down unless it's a really short attempt. Now the stat-heads will tell you that you should do that anyway. your odds are better to go for it on fourth down almost all the time and maybe McCarthy has that in the back of his mind. The struggles of Crosby makes it easier in his mind to do the right thing...go for it on 4th down. Fans of course, want Crosby gone...I saw one suggestion to come up with a phantom injury and place him on IR so he can work on his problems during the off-season. It appears that the team will go into the post-season with a kicker they cannot rely on...and you can almost bet that it will play a factor in an upcoming game...and then coach McCarthy will have to endure an entire off-season of fan abuse which won't be pretty.

The Bucks face the Indiana Pacers tonight at the Bradley Center...all of these in division games are big for later in the season and playoff tie breakers.

It's interesting that Barry Alvarez said this week that he considered being head coach for next season in order to keep most of the assistant coaches from leaving. But, he figured rightly that he would have to go through the same thing next year. And won't whoever he chooses to bring in want to select his own assistants?

Did you catch the season ending episode of Homeland? Wow...where do they go from here. Good to see that Mandy Patinkin's role should be larger next year.

Liberation-Chicago (1969) from the first Chicago album...when they were still a kick-ass rock band.. the late Terry Kath on guitar and Danny Seraphine (my all-time favorite drummer) this album would be one of my ten on a desert island. This isnt a great recording of the song but you will get the idea
