I wish everyone a great Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy and stop for a bit and remember why you have the day off on Monday. There are parades and observances going on around Central Wisconsin including Wausau's parade which begins Saturday morning at 10:45 at Marathon Park. There will be an 11 am program at the VFW on River Drive. Monday there will be a Memorial Day rememberance at the Restlawn Cemetery on Wausau's northeast side starting at 11am.

The Brewers get back to work tonight at Arizona...you can hear the game on WSAU at 8:05.

Racing at State Park Speedway was rained out last night...they will race tonight instead. Gates open at 430.

Lots of area athletes made it to state at sectional Track & Field action on Friday. Check for regional baseball & softball scores in the sports section of this website. I'll have high school baseball today. Wausau East finishes up the regular season hosting Athens. you can hear the game on Foxsports1390 at 4:20.

In The City-The Jam (1977) a classic punk tune from Britain. This was the first of 18 consecutive top 40 hits for the band in England. didnt translate as well to America but you certainly can hear some early Who in their stuff

Youre The Best Thing-Style Council (1984) Weller gets soulful with this 80's tune. hard to believe sometimes it was the same guy. Here is the band at Live Aid in 1985
