The Milwaukee Bucks enter the season with their GM, coach and best player in the final year of their contracts. The team could not come to an agreement with Brandon Jennings on a contract extension by last night's deadline. That means that Jennings becomes a restricted free agent next July but the Bucks can match any offer he recieves. This is good and bad for Milwaukee. Most players have good seasons when they are playing for a new contract and the Bucks need Jennings to have a good year if they hope to return to the playoffs. But, if he does put up good numbers you would think he would get offers, and that means he will probably be alot more expensive if the Bucks want to resign him next summer. There has been mixed feelings as to whether or not you want to build your team around Jennings. He isnt consistent...he can look spectacular one night and go into the tank the next...plus with the lame duck status of John Hammond and Scott Skiles...it may be new people who will make the decision on Jennings next summer.

The revamping of the Brewers bullpen will begin today. Milwaukee will cut Jose Veras when he clears waivers. He is arbitration eligible and the team is not interested in giving him a raise. He had a decent ERA but also issued 40 walks in 67 innings. Kameron Loe and Manny Parra are the other arbitration eligible relievers and you can expect them to be gone as well.
