Packers-Bears:Need We Say More?

Posted by Tom King on

The Packer-Bear rivalry is renewed tonight at Lambeau Field and although the Packers have had the Bears number for the last few years, tonight's game should be a very competitive affair. Chicago has surrounded strong-armed quarterback jay Cutler with alot of offensive weapons and the much maligned Packer secondary will be sorely tested tonight. Offensively, the Pack needs to have at least a semblance of a running game...if for no other reason than to keep Aaron Rodgers from getting killed. This is a big game for this early in the season...you certainly can make the playoffs after starting the season 0-2 but it won't be easy. Packer game day begins at 5pm on WSAU.

The Brewers did it again last night beating Atlanta 8-2 and picking up another game in the wildcard chase. They are now just three games back. They have an off day today before starting a weekend series with the Mets at Miller Park Friday night. The thing that makes this comeback so tough is that after this weekend, the Brewers hit the road and face the Nationals, Pirates and Reds before finishing at home with the Astros.

Major league baseball unveiled next years schedule yesterday. The Brewers open the season at home on April 1st against the Colorado Rockies. They will face the Rangers, Twins, A's and Mariners in interleague play.

Songs of The Day   (from my I-pod)

Keep Young & Beautiful-Annie Lennox (1992) a tongue in cheek remake of a song the Eddie Cantor did in the 1933 movie "Roman Scandals" . It's from the LP "Diva"

Keeper Of My Heart-Indigo Girls (1990) from the "Nomads, Indians, Saints LP comes this haunting tune of love & loss
