Many of the Badger fans I've talked to have already written off the season. Wisconsin doesnt play their first Big Ten game for two weeks and because of their struggles in the first three games many are saying it's going to be a lost year. Yeah, they are not the powerhouse of the past few years. The O-line hasnt played well. None of the QBs on the roster is Russell Wilson or Scott Tolzien and when Jared Abrraderis is out the recieving corp is a mess. But they still have Montee Ball & James White...they still have Chris Borland & Mike Taylor...Medford native Ethan Hemer has played great...and their division of the Big Ten contains Ohio State & Penn State (neither of whom are eligible for the Big Ten title or a bowl this year). Lets let it play out and see if the players and coaches make adjustments and get better as the season goes along.
I'm reading Matt Lepay's new book and he's reliving the Don Morton years so just remember Badger fans...things could be a whole lot worse.
Another weird week in the NFL...Arizona beats NE, the Saints are 0-2...the Eagles over the Ravens...Russell Wilson bounces back as Seattle stomps Dallas...the Colts over the Vikings...the Rams beat RGIII and WAshington...parity rules although the 49ers look like the cream of the crop.
The Brewers are 2 1/2 out of the wild card as they head out on a long road trip. they have 10 games in Pittsburgh, Washington & Cincy. I think they can only afford to drop a couple of those games if they want to make the final six at home mean something. Wily Peralta looked great yesterday and Braun hit two more...(will the baseball writers give him the MVP?)
Are you going to watch the new show "Revoulution" which debuts tonight? It's the one where the world loses all power...none of our machines or technology works...how long would we last?

Keeping The Faith-Billy Joel (1983) from "An Innocent Man" comes this auto-biographical tune...the Piano Man at the height of his powers
Keith Don't Go-Nils Lofgren (1975) before becoming a sideman for Springsteen's E-Street band, Lofgren released a number of cool solo LPs in the 70's. One of the most underrated guitarists's in rock delivers a warning tale for Keith Richards who was spiraling out of control at the time.
