The Bucks didnt get the deal they wanted at the trade deadline yesterday but they did improve themselves as they aquired JJ Redick and two other players from Orlando without giving up any of the core players. Milwaukee sent Beno Udrih, Tobias Harris and Doron Lamb to Orlando. Redick is averaging over 15 points a game and markedly improves the Bucks outside shooting. He also has an expiring contract and the Bucks would like to re-sign him but even if they don't it would free up money for this summer's free agent crop. But that's not what they're looking at from this deal. They want to move up from the 8th spot in the playoffs and avoid that first round series with Miami. Will it work? I'm thinking it can.
The Bucks thought they had a deal in place for Josh Smith of Atlanta but the Hawks backed out at the last minute. Milwaukee hosts Atlanta on saturday night...now watch Smith go off with a big game!

Songs of The Day (from my I-pod)
Lock & Key-Rush (1987) from the album "Hold Your Fire". Rush is headlining Summerfest this year and the band's fans in our building are very excited
Lock, Stock & Teardrops- kd lang (1988) from the Shadowland LP produced by Patsy Cline's producer Owen Bradley. I love her pop stuff but the early country stuff was freaking amazing. What a voice. This whole album was great
