Pro Bowl Yay Or Nay

Posted by Tom King on

It was all NFC in the Pro Bowl yesterday in Hawaii. the final score was 62-35 and it want even that close. Russell Wilson did well throwing three td passes. and the level of play was better than last years debacle. Was it enough to keep the game going? Roger Goodell has been non-commital on whether or not the game will continue to be played. Personally I could care less. When alot of the top players bow out with questionable injuries and it's viewed as a free Hawaiian vacation by many of the others...tell me again why I'm supposed to be interested? Are people that gung-ho for football that they will watch anything? Ask yourself this...will you miss it if its gone? My guess is the majority of folks would say no.

The Bucks kept rolling on Saturday night beating a much improved Warrior team at the Bradley Center. The Bucks are solidly in the playoff mix right now and face the next four games against Eastern Division foes including a big game at home Wednesday with Chicago. Unfortunatly its the second night of a back-to-back and most teams don't fare well in those.

The Badgers got a nice win over Minnesota on saturday. It looks like the Big Ten is going to be a crap-shoot with teams beating up on each other the rest of the way. Wisconsin is still struggling on the offensive end and needs to move the ball better. It would also help if they can get the ball inside to Berggren more. They head to Columbus Tuesday night to face Ohio State. The Buckeyes lost at Indiana yesterday.

Brewer Fan fest was yesterday in Milwaukee. Ryan Braun said he had confidence in the young starting pitchers who will have to step forward this year and he knows the Central Division is getting better. Mark Attanasio thinks the pitching staff will put together a better season, especially in the bullpen. He also said the Brewers would make an in-season move if they were contending and the move made sense. . Pitchers and catcher report in a couple of weeks and Opening Day is only a couple of months away.

It looks like Tiger is ready to have a better year than last. He was really striking the ball well yesterday, especially his approach shots...something he really struggled with last year. The tournament in La Jolla was called by darkness last night but he has a 6 shot lead when it resumes today.

Little Martha-Allman Brothers Band (1971) Duane Allman wrote this and recorded it a few weeks before his death. It was included on the "Eat A Peach" album. Guitar virtuoso Leo Kottke was called it the "perfect guitar song". I still rememeber CBS using it as background music for a Nascar feature on Richard Petty.

Little Miss Can't Be Wrong-Spin Doctors (1991) A hook laden gem from a band that should have done more
