There have been some pretty inane letters to the editor from Walmart haters opposed to the proposed downtown Green Bay store. But the winner of this inanity contest has to be one William Kispert of Green Bay. He says a lot of stupid things, but nothing tops his claim that the story would be the size of 10 Lambeau Fields.
The proposed store would be 154,000 square feet. Lambeau Field is 1.65 MILLION square feet. There was a day when newspapers didn't allow patently false statements in letters to the editor. Since when do they treat them as broadcasters do candidate advertisements that can't be edited or censored? Or was the Green Bay Press Gazette stupid enough to believe this? Did anybody read it before publishing?
