I agree with the minority on this, but just barely . I'm very torn on this issue. I agree that IQ tests are an imperfect measure. And it's very possible that someone who scores less than a 70 isn't mentally disabled and someone who scores over 70 is. But I can only imagine the chaos that will result without some uniform standard to rely on, vs. ruling on a case by case basis.
On the other hand, should a standard that's "close enough" be allowed when it's a a matter of life and death? As I said, very conflicted. on this one.
