Wausau, wi (WSAU) A 38 year old sex offender will be released from prison today and return to Wausau to live. Edwin Hamann was convicted in 2000 on five counts of sexual assualt of a child after getting a 13 year old pregnant. Hamann will wear a GPS monitoring device and be under intensive supervision by the Department of Corrections and the parole office. Hamann completed a treatment program in prison and was granted early release.
