WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Wausau will open its three outdoor ice rinks later today.
The rinks at Grant and John Marshall elementary schools and on the 400 block downtown will open at 5:30 p.m.
The rinks will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 1-5 and 6-9 p.m. on Saturdays and from 1-4:30 p.m. on Sundays.
The city will close the rinks anytime the wind chill reaches 20 degrees below zero or colder.
The ice rinks at Brockmeyer Park and Riverview School will open as they’re completed.
