WAUSAU (WRN) - A window and door company says it’s laying 334 employees. Kolbe and Kolbe Millwork says most of the layoffs will be at its plant in Wausau. And they’re blamed on continued reductions in new housing and light commercial buildings. Company president Michael Salsieder says the layoffs are expected to temporary – and many of the employees are expected to be called back next spring. The actual number depends on how the projected economic recovery is going by then. Kolbe and Kolbe has facilities in Wausau, Manawa, Chicago, and Fort Collins Colorado.
