ROTHSCHILD, Wis (WSAU) A Rothschild business will pay $72,000 to settle a lawsuit with the state. Foremost Farms USA was alleged to violate air pollution laws at it's plant near Cedar Creek.

The company makes lactose and was accused of allowing particulate matter be released in levels that exceeded state emission standards. The Attorny General's office filed suit in 2008.

A company spokesman said a new filtration system was installed in September.
