WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A lawsuit over a fatal house fire that killed three children in Wausau has been settled out-of-court.

The terms of the settlement have not been made public.

Larry Block, the father of two of the children, claimed that the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring in a bedroom. He claimed the landlord was told about the problem but didn't make repairs. Firefighters were unable to determine the exact cause because of extensive damage to the home on South First Avenue. The house has since been demolished.

9-year-old Mitchell Block, 8-year-old Mackenzie Block, and 2-year-old Faith Fondie died in the fall 2008 blaze.
