STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) – A woman charged in an attempted murder for hire case will be sentenced this morning in Stevens Point.
Linda Deitze pled guilty to one count of being party to attempted homicide in July. She admitted to shooting James Glodowski five times in Zenoff Park in November 2008. Prosecutors say she shot Glodowski so that his wife could continue an affair. Glodowski survived the shooting and testified against the defendants at a their preliminary hearings.
Dietze spent several months after the shooting in a state mental health facility after being found incompetent to stand trial.
District attorney Tom Eagon is recommending a 15 year prison sentence for Dietze, and 15 years on extended supervision.
Today's hearing starts at 8:30.
