WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Wausau drivers will need to plan a little more time than usual for their commute this morning as DOT work crews move to get the stretch of US 51 between County K and Bridge Street resurfaced starting this morning.

Work won't actually start until tomorrow, but work crews will need time to set up the project. That means they'll be shutting down one lane in each direction along the stretch of highway.

Work is expected to last all week and is subject to conditions. You can find detours along 17th and 20th Avenues.
