WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Tomorrow is Halloween and thanks to it being on a Saturday, all of the local municipalities will be holding their trick or treating events tomorrow.
Everest Metro Police chief Wally Sparks says you can help them out by following several basic safety tips when going around getting candy tomorrow. Make sure to have a costume that people can see, especially since most cities will be having trick or treating hours that extend after dark. Make sure to look both ways when crossing streets, and don't run out into the road. And be sure parents know where kids are heading for their candy.
Wausau police lieutenant Ben Bliven says that the municipalities around the area will be stepping up enforcement for Halloween as well, in order to keep hooliganism to a minimum. “Just make sure whatever pranks you're pulling aren't going to hurt others or damage property.”
Here's a list of when local cities are running their trick or treating.
Wausau, Weston, Rothschild, Mosinee, Schofield, Kronenwetter, Stevens Point, Plover: 4 – 7 PM.
Marshfield: 5:30 – 8 PM.
