MOSINEE, Wis (WSAU) Wausau Paper is announcing plans to consolidate two of its business units early next year. The company says the decision will save about 2-million dollars in expenses.

The Printing and Writing and the Specialty Products unit will be combined in January.

The company says the move will also give it more production flexibility at its mills in Mosinee, Brokaw, Rhinelander, and Brainerd, Minnesota. The company has not said what change - if any - the announcement will have on employment levels. It says the cost savings will come mostly through cutting administrative overhead.
