Unidentified Fireball in Wisconsin Sky

by

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Was it a meteor shower? Or something else? That question on the mind of many Wisconsinites Wednesday night. Area Sheriffs departments received dozens of calls reporting a large fireball in the sky around 10 p.m. Firefighters also responded to a number of brush fires around that time. Some say the fireball was yellow, blue, and green and traveling from north to south. The National Weather Service office in Sullivan, WI says it may be part of the Gamma Virginids meteor shower, but it hasn't been confirmed.
