WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Yesterday was ribbon-cutting for the new Wausau-Central Wisconsin Convention and Visitors Bureau offices downtown. The group has relocated its visitors center to the Palladian in downtown Wausau.
The new office will see more foot traffic, and will be open from 9am to 5pm seven days a week. They see themselves as a clearinghouse for tourist-related information in the area, including maps, brochures, and one-on-one advice for visitors.
They will be less accessible to highway traffic. The old office was in the teepee in Rothschild near the Cedar Creek Mall. They visitors bureau says they outgrew that location.
