(Lansing, MI)  --  Michigan's primary election results from August 3rd are expected to be certified today when the Board of State Canvassers meets in the state Capitol.  On the agenda is certifying the primary results for the Republican primary in the 1st Congressional District, which covers the UP and much of northern Lower Michigan.  Secretary of State election results show Dan Benishek with a one-vote win over state Senator Jason Allen.  The seat is being vacated by Democrat Bart Stupak, who has decided to retire.
