WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) This could be the week that the Wausau school district formally announces its new school superintendent.
Dr. Kathleen Williams from the East Maine 63 district in Illinois is the Wausau Board of Education's preferred candidate from three finalists. She has accepted the job. But the school board won't take a final vote until she agrees to a salary, signs a contract, and sets a starting date. Those talks are ongoing, and should conclude shortly.
She'll replace Steven Murley, who left last week to become the superintendent in Iowa City, Iowa.
