WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A 33-year-old Wausau man will face a third O-W-I charge after crashing into a tree on Sunday morning.
Israel Fernandez's car overturned after the crash around 6-30 on South First Avenue. An onlooker helped him from the vehicle. When police arrived he was taken to Wausau Aspirus Hospital to have blood drawn. His blood alcohol level hasn't been made public, but police held him for several hours at the Marathon County jail until sober.
Police say he has two prior OWI convictions, and additional charges are pending.
