WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Thousands of bees swarmed on Wausau's west side yesterday. They gathered around a pollinating bush near the La Quinta Inn and the McDonalds off Steward Avenue.
Several customers noticed the bees, but they didn't seem interested in people. They clung to the bush and climbed over one another to pollinate. No one was stung.
A beekeeper was called and was able to collect most of the bees. They were taken away to start their own colony elsewhere.
