ONEIDA COUNTY, Wis (WSAU) The State Attorney Generals office reached a settlement in a lawsuit against an Oneida County development company. They'd built luxury waterfront condos in the northwoods without getting some of the required environmental permits.
Clearwater Lake Condominium Association LLC and its two lead partners will pay $158,000 in fines and penalties. They will also cover the state's court costs.
The developers sold 185 lakefront lots in Oneida and Vilas Counties. They also demolished several buildings at an old campsite without getting proper asbestos removal permits. A golf course as part of the development didn't have all of the proper permits from the D-N-R.
The settlement was approved by the judge overseeing the case last Friday.
