MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A half-million dollar bond was set Sunday for Benjamin Germano. He's the Wauwatosa man accused of strangling his ex-girlfriend, driving around for 4 days with her body in his car trunk, and then heading out West. The 32-year-old Germano was arrested last week in western Colorado. He was extradited to Milwaukee, where he appeared before Court Commissioner Barry Phillips. He set a preliminary hearing for a week from Tuesday, when a judge will decide if there's enough evidence to order a trial. Germano is accused of killing 24-year-old Sarah Rosio of Milwaukee in his apartment on January 13th. Her body was found 8 days later in a storage container in West Allis.
