Detroit led for much of the second half last night but in the end Orlando pulled out a 91-to-86 win at the Palace. Rodney Stuckey posted 18 points and seven assists for the Pistons, who lost the final five games of a six-game home stand. Detroit is now 15-and-31 and is having its worst season in 16 years. J.J. Redick led Orlando with 17 points while Dwight Howard had 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots.
Tomorrow night, the Pistons play at New Jersey. In Sunday’s marquee game in the N-B-A, Kobe Bryant hit a jumper with 7.3 seconds left and finished with 19 points and six assists, as the Los Angeles Lakers held on for a 90-89 win over the Celtics in Boston. Phil Jackson picked up his 533rd regular season win with Los Angeles and is now tied with Pat Riley for the most victories in Laker’s history.
