STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) Wausau has already cut funding for its public access cable channel. Now Stevens Point may do the same.

The change is because of Act 42. It takes away public education and government support fees. "PEG" money makes up about 17-percent of the channel's operating budget, or about 30-thousand dollars. PEG fees -- which are charged to cable subscribers -- will be dropped at the end of this year.
