Wausau, Wi (WSAU) The Wausau Newman Catholic School System will close 2 schools due to declining enrollment. The middle school program for 6th to 8th graders will be moved into the Newman High School building in a wing seperate from the high school students. St Michaels Elemetary School will be turned into an Early Childhood Day care operation. According to reports the enrollment for the system was down 50 students from last year. It's not known what will happen to the Middle School building.
